Reflecting on the past

In September 2024, we launched the XENEA Wallet download campaign as a crucial step towards our public mainnet launch. While this may have appeared to users as a simple airdrop event, for us it was aimed at strengthening the security of our Proof of Democracy (PoD) consensus algorithm which underpins the security of the Xenea blockchain.

Our chain employs the PoD consensus algorithm, which has undergone peer review by IEEE, a prestigious authority in the telecommunications field. This system allows wallets holding Mining Passport NFTs to participate in chain consensus, and the chain's security becomes more robust as the number of NFT-holding wallets increases. The strength of PoD is demonstrated by its ability to limit the success probability of fraudulent transactions to 50% even if malicious actors control 70% (equal to 700,000 wallets) under a one million wallet condition. This represents an exceptionally robust mechanism compared to other consensus algorithms.

The campaign we initiated in September aims to secure a predetermined number of wallets that will eventually hold Mining Passport NFTs. This represents an essential milestone that we must achieve before launching our public mainnet.

Through various wallet missions, partnerships across multiple countries, and regional AMAs, XENEA Wallet has achieved 1.4 million downloads as of January 2, 2025. This figure represents a notable achievement in the emerging Web3 space, with further growth anticipated in the future.

Season 2 ~ Ecosystem Expansion

In January 2025, we are advancing to the next stage. Having secured a clear path to achieving our initial target for PoD security, we are transitioning the XENEA Wallet campaign to a new phase, "Season 2," which emphasizes ecosystem development.

Season 2 will focus on partner projects participating in the Xenea blockchain ecosystem. By attracting audience interest from an early stage, we aim to facilitate user onboarding for each project and drive rapid ecosystem growth. New partnership projects will be announced successively starting from late January.

We will provide users with opportunities to engage with partner content through the XENEA Wallet and discover new possibilities. Beginning in late January 2025, partners will introduce direct quizzes and various missions. Users can expect even greater benefits than those offered in Season 1. We encourage you to complete daily tasks while deepening your understanding of the Xenea ecosystem to maximize your benefits leading up to the public mainnet launch.
