We have launched "Ubusuna," the public testnet for the Xenea blockchain. This marks the transition to Phase 2 of the mainnet roadmap published on March 12, 2026 — a step forward from internal load testing to a live environment open to developers and our community.
Xenea is building a verifiable storage layer designed for the AI era. Our vision of "passing data on to future generations" is now taking concrete shape on Ubusuna. Deploy contracts, run transactions, and start exploring the network today.
Get Started in 3 Steps
Connect Your Wallet Ubusuna is directly accessible from the XENEA Wallet. If you are using an EVM-compatible wallet such as MetaMask, add the network details below.
Get Test Tokens Request $TXENE from the #faucet channel on the Xenea Discord. For larger amounts needed for extensive testing, reach out via #open-tickets.
Run Transactions Send tokens, deploy contracts, and interact with the network. All transactions can be verified on the Ubusuna Explorer.

Testnet Architecture
This testnet provides Xenea's Layer 1. It uses Xenea's proprietary consensus algorithm, PoD (Proof of Democracy), and consists of Escrow nodes and Rep nodes. While the network adopts a consortium-style configuration, transaction validation rights are delegated to the wallets of users holding mining rights, making collusion structurally difficult by design.
A cross-chain bridge and DACS (Decentralized Autonomous Content Storage) will be added to the testnet incrementally. IPFS will be adopted as the DACS file system in its initial phase.

Ubusuna (産土) is an ancient Japanese word meaning "birthplace" and "the guardian deity of one's homeland." We chose this name — a symbol of origins and roots — to embody our hope that this will be the starting point of a new ecosystem.
